New development stage is started in Visoriai Information Technology Park \u2013 Building Permit is issued for new Innovation, Research and Laboratory Centre being developed by \u201cBOD GROUP\u201d and construction works are launched. Investments for development of this laboratory complex will reach approximately 22, 4 million Eur. The innovative building will supply itself with heat and cool, and a solar power plant installed on the facade and roof of the building will generate all the electricity necessary for maintenance of building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBOD GROUP\u201d in the new research and innovation centre, will establish a\nlaboratory complex, including a new generation energy storage development\ncentre, where innovative batteries and accumulators adapted to the needs of\nhousehold consumers, transport and industry will be developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction Project was prepared by company \u201cBaltic Engineers\u201d, which\nwill also supervise the process of Project implementation. \u201cBaltic Engineers\u201d\nhas designed and managed the construction of \u201cContinental\u201d production plant in\nKaunas, \u201cDovista\u201d window production town, also has designed territory and\nengineering networks of the museum of modern art \u201cMo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a prerequisite for the maximum elimination of errors during the construction itself. After all, design errors are very expensive during construction stage and can even irreparably damage the quality of the building, especially when the project is so complex\u201d, says Darius Kvedaras, CEO of Baltic Engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Building will supply itself with energy <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Building\nof \u201cBOD GROUP\u201d Research and Laboratory Centre will supply itself with heat and\ncool – innovative system of geothermal wells and heat pumps will be able to\ncover the building’s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMajor part of geothermal wells will be installed under the building, so the system will be extremely compact, not requiring an area of the land plot. Geothermal energy will ensure not only the heating of the building in the cold season, but also the basic cooling of the premises at warmer weather. Total of 16 ventilation systems with heat recovery have been designed for the ventilation of the building – this is important to ensure the necessary indoor climate in laboratories and research centres\u201d, says D. Kvedaras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nnew-generation solar power plant, which will be installed on the roof and\nintegrated into the building\u2019s fa\u00e7ade, will generate large part of the\nelectricity needed for the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Construction\nof A ++ energy class, 5 floors, 33 thousand sq.m. area innovation, research and\nlaboratory centre will start this month, the completion of the works is\nexpected in the end of 2022. About 200\njobs for high-tech professionals will be created in this technology complex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
