A New Progymnasium in Perkūnkiemis Receives Building Permit
Vilnius will soon welcome a new educational space of high-quality architecture — we are pleased to announce that a building permit has been granted for a new progymnasium at 25 Pavilnionių Street.
This school is designed with a strong focus on the harmonious integration of indoor and outdoor learning environments. The building itself will become an active part of the educational process, featuring an outdoor garden, a science terrace, and a solar power plant to help raise students’ awareness of sustainable energy.
The school is scheduled to open in 2027.
The new facility will help address the shortage of educational spaces in this rapidly growing part of Vilnius and will serve as a model for modern education and community-oriented architecture.
The school will include:
22 classrooms, sewing and woodworking workshops, and FAB labs (digital creation and prototyping spaces);
a theatre and cinema, and a teaching kitchen;
a swimming pool, two gymnasiums, and a 2,000 m² sports field;
a terrace, rooftop garden, and a playground on top of the library;
a solar power plant and abundant natural light throughout the building.
The project was developed in close collaboration between Office De Architectura (MB “De architectura”) and BE LIVE (UAB “Baltic Engineers”).
